Andrew Corporation (NASDAQ:ANDW) has developed the industry's most efficient, high power multi-carrier power amplifier--called OneBase(TM) Cell Extender--for use in extending the coverage or increasing the capacity of wireless base stations.
OneBase Cell Extender, on display at Andrew's booth March 14-16 at CTIA WIRELESS in New Orleans (Booth #2845, Hall C), is part of Andrew's new OneBase branded products and solutions for use in wireless base stations. OneBase products provide a complete solution from a single source for all radio frequency hardware that is used in wireless base stations, including power amplifiers, filters, transceivers, and combiners.

OneBase Cell Extender utilizes feed-forward amplifier correction technology in both the cellular and PCS (personal communication service) frequency bands and can transmit CDMA (code division multiple access), GSM (global system for mobile communications), and all third-generation (3G) air interface protocols simultaneously.

In addition to OneBase Cell Extender, Andrew's OneBase family includes:

-- OneBase Pico--a complete single-carrier picocell wireless base station, featuring a capacity of up to 80 users, which can be customized to fit within an original equipment manufacturer (OEM) product family.
-- OneBase Micro and OneBase Remote Radio Head--a further development of One Base Pico. These complete microcell wireless base stations--which also can be customized to fit within an OEM product family--will feature single- or two-carrier operation, high-speed downlink packet access (HSDPA) capability, and the ability to configure remotely through an optical interface.
