AtSite Selects Redwood Systems to Power Building Performance Solutions

AtSite Installs Redwood’s LED Lighting Control and Building Intelligence Platform at its Washington, D.C. Headquarters and Uses the Technology to Enhance its Own Solution for Clients
October 27, 2011 FREMONT, CA

Redwood Systems, the leading provider of building-performance lighting solutions, today announced that AtSite has selected Redwood’s innovative technology for its LEED Platinum Washington, D.C. headquarters. Redwood’s networked lighting platform will be used to power and control 150 LED fixtures for improved energy efficiency and building insight. In addition, AtSite, a leading building performance company, is actively using Redwood’s technology as an enhancement to its own customer offering.

“Redwood Systems’ building-performance lighting platform is a strategic asset in our comprehensive offering,” said Davor Kapelina, President & CEO, AtSite, Inc. “Redwood’s ability to monitor and measure power usage and provide data on space utilization makes it ideal for maximizing energy savings, thus optimizing facility resources. Redwood’s product marries lighting controls and building intelligence, which not only made it a perfect choice for our Headquarters, but also a best in class solution to recommend to our clients.”

AtSite has chosen Redwood as its Headquarters’ building performance lighting technology provider due to the rich functionality and remote management capabilities of its platform. Redwood’s approach to integrating advanced lighting controls with building intelligence applications – such as fine-grain occupancy-sensing, motion control and temperature sensing – provides an optimal solution for improving operational efficiencies and creating dynamic places to work. In addition, Redwood’s networked platform enables AtSite to remotely monitor, measure and commission the lighting system. By monitoring and measuring the performance of its customers’ implementations, AtSite can identify usage trends and make recommendations to optimize the system for maximum efficiency.

“We’ve been evaluating and recommending energy-efficient building solutions for 30 years,” said Paul Czerwin, President of Advanced Power Control Inc., an intelligent building systems consultant and integrator for AtSite. “Redwood represents the greatest opportunity I’ve seen for detailed energy and space utilization data to be integrated with other building systems for maximum impact.”

“AtSite is at the forefront of a movement to make buildings perform better and be more cost-efficient to operate,” said Dave Leonard, CEO of Redwood Systems. “Their use and recommendation of our building performance lighting solutions is a testament to the benefit of an integrated approach to lighting and building intelligence.”
