CommScope Reaches AIM Inventory Management Milestone – 100th Customer Location

May 11, 2010 HICKORY, N.C.

CommScope, a global leader in infrastructure solutions for communications networks, is celebrating the addition of its 100th customer location to CommScope Advantage Inventory Management® (AIM) 2.0, a CommScope-managed, automated inventory management program offered to broadband cable customers.

The AIM 2.0 program is a cutting edge collaborative inventory management program that helps customers run efficient distribution centers and other warehouse facilities. AIM 2.0 enables cable operators to benefit from CommScope’s expertise in inventory management, helping them increase inventory turns, improve operational efficiency and ensure adequate stock.

“We estimate that the AIM program has resulted in approximately $10 million in combined cash flow savings for our customers at their participating locations,” said Ric Johnsen, senior vice president, CommScope Broadband Solutions. “As a world-class manufacturer, CommScope’s extensive experience in managing supply chain and inventory is made accessible to customers who participate in the program.”

CommScope launched AIM in 2006 with 10 customer locations. The program today, AIM 2.0, includes a simplified process of information transfer. By giving CommScope visibility into their inventory levels, cable operators can rely on CommScope to manage stock and notify buyers when cable supply needs to be replenished. As a proven collaborative inventory management program, AIM illustrates the value of having a highly efficient supply chain solution.

CommScope will display AIM 2.0 and its entire solutions portfolio in booth 2239 at The Cable Show 2010 taking place May 11-13, 2010, in Los Angeles, California. CommScope will display its hydrogen fuel cell technology and BrightPath® optical solutions for cellular backhaul and business services applications in the co-located CableNET technology showcase. CommScope also partnered with the National Cable and Telecommunications Association (NCTA), providing the infrastructure cabling supporting the communications network used in the My World – Powered by Cable exhibit, a virtual world of buildings, neighborhoods and living spaces that brings to life the connective power of cable.

From advanced hybrid fiber-coax (HFC) networks to state of the art fiber-to-the-X (FTTx) architectures, CommScope offers a complete portfolio of radio frequency (RF) and optical network infrastructure solutions that enable cable operators worldwide to provide high bandwidth services for residential and commercial customers. CommScope is chosen time and again by leading cable operators around the globe, recognizing CommScope’s leadership position and 30-plus year commitment to making products of the highest quality yielding unrelenting reliability and system performance. From CommScope’s BrightPath, an RF over glass (RFoG) FTTx solution, to AIM, CommScope’s innovative product and service solutions provide extraordinary value to customers as they roll out digital voice, high definition video and high speed data services.
