CommScope, Inc., a global leader in infrastructure solutions for communications networks, will have one of its experts speak about fiber-to-the-home and the future of telecommunication services during two upcoming industry conferences.

Shane Eleniak, vice president, Advanced Broadband Solutions, will take part in a debate entitled, “Taking Fiber to the X,” during the upcoming Cable Next-Gen Broadband Strategies: Docsis 3.0, Wireless, Fiber & Beyond. The debate will feature three other industry panelists who will discuss how cable operators can best leverage optical solutions to deliver residential, commercial or wireless backhaul services. The conference will take place on Thursday, February 24 at The Cable Center in Denver, CO.

Eleniak will also present during the Society of Cable Telecommunication Engineers (SCTE) Canadian Summit. He will be one of the speakers during a breakout session entitled, “Light on Business.” The session will discuss how cable operators are faced with a myriad challenges and decisions with regard to how to best leverage both their legacy and new fiber architectures for the commercial services market. Eleniak and his fellow presenters will share their vision and experience about how this can be accomplished. The presenters will also comment on how a flexible optical fiber platform can benefit the operator in areas such as wireless backhaul. The Summit will take place on Tuesday, March 8 at the Toronto Congress Centre in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

During both events, Eleniak will highlight CommScope’s BOS (BrightPath® Optical Solutions), an industry-leading innovation that achieves a true “end-to-end” FTTx solution. From residential and MDU to commercial and cellular backhaul applications, the BOS suite of head end, outside plant and end user solutions offers the unparalleled capability for operators to choose the right technology and architecture—all from a single, trusted partner.
