For 9th Year, Comsearch Named Official Spectrum Manager For CTIA WIRELESS 2006

-- Andrew Corporation Also to Showcase Capabilities and Solutions for 3G and More --
March 23, 2006 WESTCHESTER, Ill.

The market-leading radio spectrum management capabilities of Comsearch, an Andrew Corporation company, will be on full display April 5-7 in Las Vegas as it serves as official spectrum manager for the CTIA WIRELESS 2006 trade show and systems integrator for the show's Wireless Home showcase.

In its ninth consecutive year as official spectrum manager at CTIA WIRELESS, Comsearch will ensure that the radio frequencies used in demonstrations by exhibitors do not interfere with each other and other licensed wireless operations in the area. This year's show presents new challenges with demonstrations using WiMax and digital video broadcasting-handhelds (DVB-H) technologies. Comsearch's spectrum management process efficiently and successfully addresses the often complex interference and frequency coordination issues for CTIA's many temporary wireless demonstrations. Comsearch will coordinate with area licensees and federal government agencies, perform interference analysis and frequency coordination with microwave incumbents, coordinate frequency use between exhibitors, and monitor on-site interference.

"Comsearch's proficiency in providing comprehensive spectrum management and integration services has made the company an important partner in the overall success of our annual show for almost a decade," said Robert Mesirow, vice president and show director for CTIA. "We are committed to providing exhibitors and attendees of CTIA WIRELESS 2006 a highly positive show experience at one of the largest and most highly attended wireless shows in the industry. Comsearch's expanded procedures for tracking, registering, and monitoring all wireless demonstrations is critical to preventing unnecessary radio frequency interference between exhibitors or to operators in the Las Vegas market."

Also at CTIA WIRELESS 2006, Andrew will showcase to wireless operators and original equipment manufacturers at its exhibit (booth #2022) new capabilities and solutions for 3G networks that can lower cost and improve performance. Andrew experts will demonstrate how the company supports the entire radio frequency footprint with solutions that include power amplifiers, filters and combiners, distributed coverage and capacity, transmission line systems, antennas, spectrum management, wireless location, and network management and optimization. Andrew also will offer recurring theater-style presentations on topics of high interest to attendees.

In addition, for the second consecutive year, Comsearch will integrate and manage the wireless device demonstrations within the CTIA's Wireless Home, a showcase of advanced communications and interactive technology within a home erected in the main lobby between the north and central hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center. The home will bring wireless technologies to life in a tangible way, enabling visitors to interact with and experience wireless home networking at its fullest potential. Comsearch will extend its spectrum management experience and expertise into the wireless home project to thoroughly evaluate wireless devices displayed in the home and their frequency requirements, analyze interoperability, coordinate frequencies and device placements within the home, and perform pre-show testing and additional interference monitoring.

"Comsearch is pleased to extend its ongoing support to CTIA's annual show as the official spectrum manager and Wireless Home integrator," said Chris Hardy, vice president and general manager, Comsearch. "Additional spectrum bands will be utilized to support new technology demonstrations at this year's show and Comsearch looks forward to managing this challenging environment to ensure a quality show experience for everyone."
