CommScope offers a complete and cost-effective way to deliver power from the base of your cell tower to the remote radio units (RRUs) at the tower top (or your remote units in a DAS, metro cells or CRAN network). Our PowerShift® modules and racks deliver plug-and-play simplicity, which allow you to deploy an intelligent DC power supply without needing to upgrade your wiring infrastructure.

With PowerShift racks and modules, you can supply the required DC power for your RRU upgrades without the need to retrofit sites with heavier gauge power cables (saving installation time, costs and tower payload). PowerShift could also help extend battery backup time.

A PowerShift in the Wireless Industry

CommScope just announced a new power solution for wireless cell sites called PowerShift. One of the more unique advantages of PowerShift relates to how it can extend the uptime of RF battery back-up systems.
