(NYSE: CTV), today announced that Mr. Ted Hally has been named Executive Vice President of CommScope and General Manager of its Wireless Products Group.  In his new position, Hally will have overall responsibility for CommScope's global wireless business.

Ted brings a wealth of diverse international experience to CommScope and we are excited to have him as part of our executive management team, said Brian D. Garrett, President and Chief Operating Officer.  His strong leadership and business management skills will be a tremendous asset to us as we continue to expand our wireless business globally.

Mr. Hally was formerly Senior Vice President and General Manager for California-based Inktomi Corporation, a leading global provider of information-retrieval solutions.  Prior to 2001, he was Corporate Vice President and General Manager for Motorola GSM Systems Products Division. Based in the United Kingdom, he was responsible for the overall development, manufacturing, marketing and business development of digital cellular infrastructure for Motorola's GSM customers worldwide.  Before joining Motorola in 1996, he worked in many capacities at Nortel Networks, ultimately serving as Vice President/General Manager for Magellan Data Business Networks based in Frankfurt, Germany.  In this role he was responsible for the sales, marketing, operational and technical support as well as product management for Magellan customers throughout Europe and the Middle East.

A native of Ireland, Mr. Hally holds a degree in Electrical Engineering from the University College Dublin in Dublin, Ireland.
