What troubleshooting steps should I follow prior to contacting an Andrew representative?

What information will I need to have readily available when contacting the Andrew Repair Center?

• Model number
• Serial number

• Number of hours on unit

• Payment method (required if an RMA is needed, regardless of the warranty status)

What initial steps are taken by Andrew for assessing pressurization repair needs?

• An Andrew representative will work with you to identify the problem.
• You will be asked for the product Model Number and Serial Number.
• The warranty status of the unit will be verified.
• You will be advised of the availability of a loaner unit.
• An estimate of the cost for inspection and repairs will be provided, if the unit is out-of-warranty.
• A Return Material Authorization Sheet (RMA) will be faxed to you.

In-Warranty Repairs

Most Andrew pressurization products carry a warranty of one to three years, depending upon the model number. If a unit falls within its warranty period, an inspection and repairs are performed at no charge and the unit is promptly returned to the customer. If no problem is found with a warranty unit, an inspection fee and freight will be charged to the customer. A method of payment must be provided prior to receiving an RMA, regardless of warranty status.

Out-Of-Warranty Repairs

A cost estimate is provided to customers for out-of-warranty product, which requires customer authorization prior to proceeding with any repairs. Customers receiving out-of-warranty repairs will be invoiced for inspection, materials, and labor upon delivery of the repaired unit. If it has been determined that a unit will not be repaired, the repair center will need to obtain instructions for disposition from the customer. In cases where repairs are not made to the unit and the unit will be returned to the customer, the customer is invoiced for the inspection and freight. A method of payment must be provided prior to receiving an RMA, regardless of warranty status.

Loaner units are available from the repair center to maintain your system while repairs are being performed. If you feel you need a loaner, please contact us at (817) 864-4150 or (817) 864-4155. A purchase order for the full value of the unit must be issued prior to shipment. You will also need to contact us when the loaner is ready to be returned to receive a NEW RMA number and to ensure the appropriate credit is made to your account. Please note that damages to a loaner will be deducted from the purchase order.

Pack your unit securely for shipment to the Repair Center. If you received a loaner unit, we recommend that you use the box and packing materials that came with the loaner unit to return your unit to the Repair Center. Factory packing materials are also available from the Repair Center for a nominal fee.

To ensure proper handling of your repair order, you must enclose a completed Repair Form inside the box and clearly mark your Company Name and RMA number (XXXXXXX) on outside of the box.
