GeoLENs™ System Platform

Access multiple location technologies and multiple nodes
for a high-performance scalable mobile location solution.
- GeoLENs MLC (Mobile Location Center) provides a single platform
for all mobile location system functional elements (SMLC, eSMLC, GMLC, SAS, SUPL,
LIS).
- GeoLENs LMU (Location Measurement Unit) are installed at selected
base stations to measure certain signal characteristics used in some methods
of network-based location calculations.
- GeoLENs LIS (Location Information Server) can be deployed in access networks ranging from enterprise, DSL, cable and other
wired and wireless broadband access types to provide the location of any device
connected to an IP network.
Emergency response, assisted navigation, child location, fleet
tracking. In today’s wireless market, fast and accurate mobile location is no
longer considered a luxury, offered only by a select group of premium 3G or
4G networks. It is a core feature that end-users expect, and one that operators
must deliver if they are to remain competitive. Easier said then done.
There are as many as a dozen or more mobile location technologies
in use today. Each has specific advantages over the others for a given situation.
Depending on network variables such as terrain, target location, and population
density, the optimal mobile location solution may require a combination of technologies.
Only one Mobile Location Solution can bring them all together consistently,
accurately, and seamlessly—the Andrew GeoLENs (Geo-Location Enabled Network
solutions).
GeoLENs is a single stand-alone solution that integrates with
your network’s existing architecture and allows you to take advantage of multiple
location technologies. It also interoperates with a variety of network platforms
to conform to critical industry standards. And capacity is scalable, so you
never have to invest in more than you need.
The system’s open architecture enables it to accommodate technologies
that have yet to be fully developed. Adding new technologies as they become
available is as easy as making a simple software update. So you won't have to
add, replace, or revamp hardware or manage complex, piecemeal configurations
no matter how much your system grows.
