Invex.NxG™ i.Drive™ Solutions The Future of Wireless Network Measurement
and Testing
The Invex.NxG i.Drive-B™ (Benchmark) and i.Drive-C™ (Compact) solutions
are self-contained, tamper resistant drive-test tools capable of collecting
and transmitting crucial network data collected from handsets, mobile data cards,
and scanners without direct manned intervention.
The Invex.NxG i.Drive-B solution is currently deployed and automatically
taking measurements in hundreds of vehicles with over 5 million miles logged.
It supports up to eight active test devices plus backhaul modems. The Invex.NxG
i.Drive-C solution is a smaller version of the i.Drive solutions. It supports
two active test devices plus backhaul modems (mobile data card and/or Wi-Fi).
An optional outboard scanner may be added as well.
The Invex.NxG i.Drive solutions are the future of efficient, cost-effective
wireless network measurement and testing, reducing or eliminating the need for
expensive drive-test vehicles and operators. An environmentally friendly approach
to testing wireless networks, the i.Drive chassis’ effectively ride-share with
delivery and service vehicles already in operation in the coverage area while
providing broader test coverage of the markets.
The i.Drive chassis can be installed in mass transit vehicles, taxi cabs,
and delivery vehicles, to automatically collect data when the vehicle is in
operation. The chassis can also be placed in vehicles to perform directed drives,
reserving your skilled technicians for other important duties.
The Invex.NxG i.Drive-B and i.Drive-C solutions provides comprehensive data
consolidation and availability. Since all collected data is automatically sent
to central servers, it is available across organizations over the Internet without
the usual delays waiting for drivers to return and download log files.
The i.Drive server communicates with the i.Drive remote units. The remote
units are organized using a web-based graphical interface to allow easy and
efficient access to configure or modify tasking of the units. The server sends
configuration data and tasks to the remote systems and receives status reports
from them. These status reports, which can be viewed on any suitable PC with
an Internet connection, include the location of the vehicle, the logging time
and distance, battery voltages, and other key monitoring parameters.
The Invex.NxG i.Drive solution is capable of collecting large amounts of
critical network data. The log files collected by the Autonomous solutions are
compressed and sent to a central data server. Postprocessing applications such
as Xceed Technologies’ Vortex™, Actix’s Viewpoint™, Qualitest Technologies’
Gladiator™ or custom proprietary post-processors generate maps and reports that
are available for use across organizations including market managers, RF engineers,
technicians, and corporate marketing. The maps and reports are dynamic with
user-control over location, time, and content.
