LxS Edge QAM

CommScope has dedicated its efforts to providing intelligent technologies that alleviate growing pains experience by our customers. The ultra-high density Edge QAM is built with a “grow as you please” business model and ground-up redundancy that offers customers improved cost savings, power consumption and customer satisfaction.

CommScope's Edge QAM combines many typically separate functions into a single platform that delivers the flexibility and performance that is vital in supporting the advanced and next-generation services and bandwidth needs such as Video on Demand, Switch Digital Video, Broadcast Video, DOCSIS® and Cable IPTV.

The Edge QAM allows CommScope to expand its product offerings to multi-system operators (MSO) while enhancing our complete solutions portfolio— starting at the head-end and finishing at the home.

The Wideband Edge QAM offers up to 160 QAM channels on each 16 RF (radio frequency) ports while delivering a flexible, programmable, scalable open platform that enables you to:

  • Roll out services faster, easier and more cost-effectively.
  • Add more QAM channels without changing the combining network or adding unnecessary cost up front.
  • Eliminate service disruptions with full redundancy, creating superior customer satisfaction.
  • Incorporate a "Grow as you please, please as you grow" business model.
  • Lower OpEx and CapEx, reducing hub power consumption and cooling cost.

The CommScope Edge QAM introduces customers to
an entirely new era for enabling new service offerings.
