1.  Create a Restore Point.  This step is optional, but recommended in case the next step conflicts with other programs on your computer. 
2.  Go to the following site  http://support.microsoft.com/kb/q180071/ 
        Download and install the Msvbvm50.exe file 
        After you install this, Vista may ask you if the program installed correctly.  Click yes. 
3.  Download and install SpanMaster from the CommScope website.
