In developing the GigaSPEED X10D Solution, CommScope Labs utilized its unique Modal Decomposition Modeling (MDM) tool to evaluate the 1,024 interactions between adjacent, as well as within individual, cabling components to achieve substantial reduction in alien crosstalk (ANEXT or noise from adjacent cables and connectors). In addition, the performance of the GigaSPEED X10D Solution has been tested and qualified in what is viewed as worst-case installation channel test configurations, known as the '6-around-1' cable configuration.

The SYSTIMAX GigaSPEED X10D FTP Solution brings leading-edge capabilities to the FTP cabling market. Designed to support the new 10 Gb/s networking and cabling standards, the GigaSPEED X10D FTP Solution complies fully with Class EA cabling channel specifications and Category 6A cabling channel specifications.

Using patent pending technology and the scientific capabilities of CommScope Labs, this solution exhibits far superior channel performance than legacy FTP solutions, and innovative engineering techniques to meet the specific demands the draft TIA Category 6A and ISO/IEC Class EA standards bring to FTP cabling solutions. Powerful new design and measurement tools including Modal Decomposition Modeling, developed by the CommScope R&D Labs, were used to test and refine the SYSTIMAX GigaSPEED XL Solution. As a result, it offers higher, more reliable performance than any other commercially available UTP solution.
Modal Decomposition Modeling provides all 256 electrical parameters to fully characterise the performance of cable, connectors or cords. This means there are no areas of uncertainty to cause problems after network infrastructure is installed.
It was developed to provide a more robust cabling system than Category 5 due to the evolution of 100 Mb/s applications that feature sophisticated encoding algorithms and required simultaneous signal transmission over two or more cable pairs in both directions (full duplex operation).
PowerSUM channel performance specifications exceed not only the current ratified and proposed standards in TIA and ISO for Category 5e cabling systems but are also capable of providing stable and continual performance up to 155.5 MHz.
SYSTIMAX® Solutions channels that are comprised exclusively of PowerSUM passive products end-to-end are capable of delivering 1.0 gigabits per second (Gbps) to the workstation in accordance with application standards and are eligible for the SYSTIMAX Solutions™ 20-year Extended Product Warranty and Applications Assurance Program.

CommScope's Uniprise® Foiled Twisted Pair (FTP) offering is a total solution
product set that includes Category 6 and 5e cabling along with the FTP-J6 and
FTP-J5E Information Outlets, the FTP-PC6-GYx and FTP-PC5E-GYx Patch Cords, and
the FTP-PNL-24P Patch Panel. The panel accepts up to 24 FTP information outlets.
Each component meets the specifications set forth in TIA/EIA, IEC 60603, and
ISO/IEC 11801 Standards.
The Uniprise FTP solution performs well in high-noise environments such as
industrial and manufacturing where electromagnetic devices could impair the
network. The Uniprise FTP Solution provides a plug-and-play design to facilitate
easy interconnection of the foiled twisted pair system without the use of special
tools.
