NEW DELHI, April 29, 2009 – CommScope Enterprise Solutions, a division of
CommScope, Inc. (NYSE: CTV), has appointed Sandip Chadha as managing director
for India and the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC).
Sandip will be responsible for driving a multi-disciplinary strategy to serve
business enterprises and expand regional business opportunities within the enterprise
market in India, Bhutan, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh.
Dr. Ispran Kandasamy, managing director and vice president, Asia Pacific,
CommScope Enterprise Solutions, said that the appointment of Sandip re-emphasizes
the importance and potential of India and SAARC in the business focus of CommScope.
He added that his appointment complements CommScope’s continuing efforts to
serve customers as the Asia Pacific leader in high-performance network infrastructure
solutions. Sandip is based in New Delhi.
Previously, Sandip managed the Lucent Technologies’ SYSTIMAX® enterprise
cabling business in India, and continued in the same role when Lucent spun off
the SYSTIMAX business in 2000 as part of Avaya. Sandip then moved within Avaya
to grow the Enterprise Telephony and Call Centre business in 2002, then moved
to Sydney as the chief operating officer for GlobalConnect Limited Australia
in 2006. He was also with Avaya GlobalConnect Limited (AGCL) in India as its
director for Indirect Business, where he facilitated widespread expansion of
their channel networks. He also worked for NELCO and Modi Olivetti at the beginning
of his career. With over 20 years experience in the general communication industry,
Sandip has honed his skills for business development, channel management, sales
and marketing.
