Modern data centers are hungrier for bandwidth than ever before. Emerging technologies like cloud computing, virtualized environments and streaming video make it necessary to boost bandwidth to 10G and beyond.
But performance alone isn't enough. At the same time, you need to meet revenue and reliability benchmarks, all while keeping one eye on your long-term migration path. Fortunately, multiple priorities find a single answer in CommScope and the InstaPATCH QUATTRO solution, the pre-connectorized modular cabling system that deploys quickly and easily so you can meet your performance and revenue targets - with confidence.
InstaPATCH QUATTRO Pre-Terminated Copper Solution: Speed, simplified.
InstaPATCH QUATTRO is a 10GBASE-T and 1GBASE-T cassette and trunk based connectivity solution that combines high-performance with plug-and-play simplicity for fast data center deployment and easy modification as your network needs evolve. As capacity requirements grow – as we all know they will – you can simply add more modular cassettes as needed. Plus, this simplified architecture means faster installs and takedowns, which can take a lot of the pain out of your next data center move.
Three integrated parts create one simple solution.
Designed to work seamlessly together, InstaPATCH QUATTRO components add up to much more than the sum of their parts.
InstaPATCH® ZERO Pre-terminated Server Cabinet Solution
North, Central and South Americas Offering
CommScope, in collaboration with IT enclosure industry leader Rittal® Corporation, developed the SYSTIMAX InstaPATCH ZERO server cabinet solution. Comprised of a 600mm wide server cabinet, factory configured cord cassettes with pre-managed slack loops, and a mini rack mounted above the cabinet, InstaPATCH ZERO provides U/UTP and fiber connectivity in an integrated, modular system that enables rapid, plug and play server cabinet deployment and facilitates best practices in intra-cabinet cable management.
Deployment of InstaPATCH ZERO is a two-step process. Simply roll in a pre-configured cabinet and plug the cord bundles into the overhead patch panel. Once the servers are installed in the cabinet, they can be connected instantly by pulling the patch cord out of the cassette to complete the patch. When your server needs change, InstaPATCH ZEROs pre-terminated modularity enables you to slide in additional cassettes, or quickly decommission and replace an entire cabinet.
The InstaPATCH ZERO solution consists of three components:
Server cabinet with integrated cord cassettes
Additional cord cassettes (for future growth)
Overhead mini-rack
Server Cabinet with Integrated Cord Cassettes Features and Benefits:
Integrated, pre-managed connectivity accelerates server deployment by enabling data center personnel to roll it in and plug it in
Extendable, pre-managed patch cords ensure cabling is always the right length and adequately managed to facilitate proper air flow
Zero U connectivity maximizes available rack space for active equipment
A total of 72 pre-terminated U/UTP cords and/or 72 optical fiber duplex LC cords can be pre-installed in server cabinets before shipped out to end user sites
Available in 2, 4 and 6 cassette configurations to support copper or mixed copper/fiber connectivity (additional cassettes are available separately)
Support GigaSPEED X10D, XL and LazrSPEED for high bandwidth applications
Cord Cassettes Features and Benefits:
Pre-managed patch cords make adding or disconnecting servers as easy as pulling out or pushing back the needed length of cord
Provides built in patch cord management, improving air flow and reducing patch cable inventory issues
Extendable cord bundles provide flexibility to span a range of distances, making it easier to accommodate design and equipment location changes
Overhead Mini-Rack Features and Benefits:
Maximize rack-mount space in a cabinet for active equipment by placing patch panels or interconnect equipment above the cabinet or rack
Accelerates deployment, decommissioning or replacement of server cabinets by segregating the connection to the permanent, horizontal link from the cabinet
Two-post rack that mounts to overhead cable runway
Available in 9.4 inches high, with 4U rack mounting spaces
Accepts standard 19-inch patch panels and other 19 interconnect equipments
Multiple mounting options, above, below or parallel to cable runway, the brackets can also be adjusted front, back, right or left to align with cable openings in the top of the rack or cabinet
Compatible with multiple cable runway sizes
An optional Vertical Cable Manager (VCM) provides a controlled pathway for patch cords into the server rack
Hinged door adds a professional, finished touch to the installation
SYSTIMAX InstaPATCH 360 System—the next generation of pre-terminated fiber solutions. Developed by CommScope Labs, the InstaPATCH 360 System is designed to support locations, such as data centers, that require high-density, rapid deployment and high performance. The InstaPATCH 360 System incorporates SYSTIMAX LazrSPEED multimode, OptiSPEED® multimode and TeraSPEED® single-mode fiber technologies to support todays most demanding applications. InstaPATCH 360 Fiber Solution delivers standard low loss performance and increased density.
The pre-terminated hardware of the SYSTIMAX LazrSPEED Solution is built with LazrSPEED 550 multimode fiber, providing for the capability to support 10Gbps Ethernet applications, as well as emerging OM4, 40Gbps/100Gbps Ethernet and 16Gbps Fibre Channel standards. The pre-terminated hardware has Low-Loss performance characteristics, coupled high bandwidth, to provide Best-in-Class application support. Trunk cables are available in LazrSPEED 150, 300 and 550 (OM4) performance grades to address the wide range of requirements of system operators.
The InstaPATCH 360 System includes modules, trunk cables, ruggedized fanouts, array cords and fiber patch cords. The system requires no special components to manage and maintain polarity within each channel.
InstaPATCH Cu Pre-Terminated Copper Solutions are a major advance for the fast deployment of high- performance networks. Traditionally, installers carried large quantities of bulk cable to the installation location, measured and cut cable to suit and terminated each length of cable in the middle of the installation process. However, with customizable InstaPATCH Cu Pre- Terminated Solutions, the pre-connectorized assemblies are precisely engineered at the manufacturing facility according to your needs. Then, theyre delivered to your site as a comprehensive solution, including cable, apparatus, design and layout, already labeled, easy to configure and ready to install. The installer simply pulls each pre-assembled solution out of the box and connects it to the appropriate port.
Engineered for cleaner, more convenient installation, InstaPATCH Cu Pre-Terminated copper cable assemblies can be installed in a fraction of the time of traditional implementation. With such efficient and neat installation, you can make certain your network, collocation facility or data center is up and running much faster than ever before.
Plus, CommScope will help your implementation go even smoother with start-to-finish design support.
