CommScope Announces Network Technology Seminars; Wired For Wisdom(TM) Seminars Designed to Help Enterprise Network Customers
HICKORY, N.C., Aug. 18 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- CommScope, Inc. (NYSE: CTV), a leader in the design and manufacture of high-performance broadband communication cables, today announced Wired For Wisdom(TM) seminars that will be offered in selected major cities throughout the United States in 2003. The seminars are designed to educate network contractors, installers, consultants and end-users about emerging network technologies.

Each seminar will feature a keynote speaker and industry experts to address such topics as 10 gigabit Ethernet transmission using copper or fiber optic media, next generation technologies for integrated security systems, explanation and comparison of fire safety performance with different cable types, and a region-specific review of local codes and regulations for structured cabling.

The kick-off event was held in Boston on August 5, 2003. The second seminar will be given in New York on August 20th, and the third seminar will be offered in Philadelphia on August 26th. Additional seminars will be scheduled in other cities through remainder of 2003.
