Uniprise’s copper and fiber pre-terminated offerings are ready for network infrastructures


RICHARDSON, Texas – July 8, 2008 – CommScope Enterprise Solutions, a division of CommScope, Inc. (NYSE:CTV), announces the dual release of its Uniprise® ReadyPATCH™ fiber solution and Uniprise ReadyPATCH Cu copper solution for data center environments in the North American region. The pre-terminated fiber and copper cabling solutions, respectively, are designed to present a hassle-free installation in a fraction of the time required by traditional implementation methods. With the increasing demand for pre-terminated cabling, the Uniprise ReadyPATCH solutions give CommScope customers a fast, valuable alternative to meet their needs.

The ReadyPATCH fiber solution combines pre-terminated, factory-tested hardware and backbone trunk cables with ruggedized MPO-single fiber fanout patch cords, array cords and standard fiber patch cords. The solution enables fibers to be ready for immediate service, backed by factory-guaranteed performance. Also, the fiber solution comes with the option of utilizing Uniprise’s Keyed Fiber LC connectors and adaptors for enhanced network security, helping to reduce infrastructure infiltration from unauthorized connections. In addition, the ReadyPATCH fiber solution brings parallel optics capabilities to data centers wanting to evolve toward faster network speeds over time.


Data centers utilizing Category 5E and 6 cabling can take advantage of the installation speed of ReadyPATCH Cu solution. This fully customizable offering includes factory terminated and tested copper cabling harnesses which support quick, high quality, hassle-free installations.   Harnesses can be configured in sizes up to 24 cables and equipped with modular jacks and plugs in a wide variety of color combinations.  ReadyPATCH Cu helps CommScope’s BusinessPartners provide customers with the network infrastructure solutions they need in the shortest time possible.


Both ReadyPATCH solutions are supported by CommScope’s 20-year commitment to performance. The solutions are applicable in the horizontal, backbone, and switch applications and throughout the data center.
