Products are randomly selected from distributors or by third-party inspectors.
And a minimum of three samples are selected for each product from different
lots to evaluate consistency in manufacturing.
Products are subject to quarterly testing; this is not a one-time test.
CommScope's manufacturing facilities are also evaluated to verify that
product is actually made at each location as indicated. This ensures that
the product is not sourced from other third-party manufacturers.
Total Solutions Verification evaluates both long 100m and short 30m channels
and links.
● Physical layer performance is directly affected by channel and link
length.
○ Short links and channels are susceptible to reflected noise from connectors,
patch cords, and cabling terminations.
○ Long links and channels are susceptible to periodic imperfections in
the cabling and impedance mismatches between horizontal cabling patch
cords and connectivity.
