Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, TX has been a world showcase for new stadiums since it opened in 2009, and CommScope is mighty proud to have been part of it from the beginning.

The Cowboys don’t rest on their well-deserved laurels, either. With the Super Bowl coming in early February, the organization—and CommScope—are hard at work to ensure that the NFL and its fans have the best experience possible, including all on-site communications before, during and after the championship game.

The Dallas Fox network affiliate aired a story January 5 highlighting some of the pre-event preparations that are underway, with a focus on the in-building coverage and capacity network upgrades we are making to ensure that those in attendance can use their mobile devices without difficulties—despite competing for signals with the other approximately 100,000 people around them.

As I mentioned in a recent blog post, the customers we work with—including the world’s biggest carriers—all consider stadiums, airports, and other large public venues to be strategically important places to support customers, due largely to the phenomenal growth in smartphone and tablet usage among consumers.

The Dallas Cowboys organization recognized this issue from the very beginning and engaged us to plan and install one of the largest, highest capacity in-building wireless networks in the world. We’re now adding LTE capability to the Cowboys stadium network, which will keep the fan experience at this facility at a Super Bowl-level from a connectivity standpoint, no matter what the event.
