With the growing demand for DOCSIS 3.0 high-speed data services, high
definition television (HDTV) programming and a requirement to reduce
size and costs, many cable operators desire the convenience of having
amplification in a Nano-compact housing. To help meet this demand,
CommScope has introduced a new Nano amplifier to the Signal Vision® line
of subscriber drop products.
The Signal Vision Nano amplifier is the smallest of its kind in the
industry, allowing for ease of installation in even the most constrained
locations as well as in compact network interface device (NID) boxes.
With 15 dB of gain in the forward path and a passive reverse path, this
amplifier supports the technologies needed to drive today’s high-speed
voice, video and data networks. Designed in a Nano-compact aluminum
plated housing with brass F-ports, this product meets or exceeds all
SCTE requirements as well as the harsh demands of an outside plant
“CommScope continuously leverages advances in technology to enhance
products and solutions for our customers,” said Neil Phillips, vice
president, Signal Vision. “These advances to our Signal Vision product
portfolio have made it possible for us to offer a reduced size amplifier
to improve ease of installation without sacrificing performance.”
CommScope will display its new Nano amplifier, as well other solutions
for the cable industry, at the SCTE Cable-Tec Expo in Denver, Colorado
on October 28-30 at booth #7089.
