CommScope Again Named Golden Partner by Huawei

December 14, 2011 SHENZHEN, China

CommScope, a global leader in infrastructure solutions for communications networks, has received the “Golden Partner” award from Huawei Technology Co., Ltd., a leader in providing next-generation telecommunications network solutions for operators around the world.

CommScope’s win of the 2011 Golden Partner Award is the fifth consecutive year in which it has been so honored by Huawei. The award presentation ceremony was staged at the 2011 Huawei Core Partner Convention at Huawei’s headquarters in Shenzhen, China. Representatives from its core strategic partners and senior executives from its supply chain, strategy, marketing and business units participated in this high-profile annual event.

“Huawei is poised to become the leading telecommunications equipment company in the international arena,” said Benjamin Peng, chief delivery and operations officer, Huawei. “The support of quality partners will facilitate success in this process. CommScope has been doing a great job in supporting our globalization endeavors and this exceptional award is in recognition of their great efforts.”

CommScope is one of few Golden Partner Award winners among thousands of Huawei partners.

“We are excited and honored for being recognized as a Golden Partner of Huawei,” said Bob Suffern, chief technology officer, CommScope. “Since we started our partnership more than a decade ago, we have been impressed by Huawei’s vision and ambition, and we remain committed to supporting its business globalization as a trusted advisor.”

CommScope has been providing solutions that include antennas, cabling and indoor coverage to Huawei for its many high-profile projects worldwide through localized resources that align with Huawei’s key supply centers, Suffern noted. “I am very pleased that these efforts have been well-received and recognized by Huawei,” he said. “This multi-faceted global collaboration leads to an all-win scenario for the stakeholders involved – Huawei, CommScope and other partners, network customers and consumers.”

As Andrew Solutions, CommScope entered the China market in 1997 and now operates manufacturing facilities in Suzhou and Shenzhen, along with R&D centers in Shanghai, Suzhou and Shenzhen to provide its customers with world-class and customized product design support. With a high-degree of localization, CommScope is highly acclaimed for its product quality, technological innovations as well as timely delivery.
