CommScope, Inc. (NYSE: CTV), a world leader in cable and connectivity solutions, has added a 12-port wall mount patch panel (UNP500-WM-12P) to the Uniprise(TM) Solutions set. The new panel, which exceeds Category 5e standards, is designed for wall- mount applications and is valuable when space is limited in telecommunications rooms.
"We designed the 12-port panel to give customers the opportunity to maximize available space," said Sandra Young, Global VP of Enterprise Marketing. "This panel can be installed on the wall, which gives patch capability to the user without a rack install."
The panel backs consist of gas-tight insulation displacement connections for continuous metal-to-metal contact in the electrical connection, thus preventing the intrusion of air and moisture that can result in corrosion and failure. Craft-friendly design features terminations for either T568A or T568B wiring schemes.
