CommScope, Inc. (NYSE: CTV), a world leader in cable and connectivity
solutions, has added a new line of Angled Patch Panels (UNP500 and
UNP600) to the Uniprise(TM) Solutions set for use in telecommunications
rooms, equipment rooms and data centers. The patch panels are designed
for quick and repeatable configuration of Category 5e and Category 6
circuits where rack space is limited and the customer requires a high
density of patch capability.
"These new Angled Patch Panels are designed to eliminate the need for
the cable management panel from the traditional layout," said Sandra
Young, Global VP of Enterprise Marketing. "This allows more density in
the rack by nearly doubling the number of ports available for use within
the same footprint."
The panel backs consist of gas-tight insulation displacement connections
for continuous metal-to-metal contact in the electrical connection, thus
preventing the intrusion of air and moisture that can result in
corrosion and failure. Patch cords can be routed directly into the
vertical wire management patch cord organizers. Other features include a
rear wire management/strain relief bar, labels and label holders. The
UNP500 and UNP600 are available in 24- and 48-port versions.
