CommScope Names Laurie Oswald Vice President of Sales for North American Region

June 22, 2011 RICHARDSON, Texas

CommScope, Inc., a global leader in infrastructure solutions for communications networks, has promoted Laurie Oswald to vice president of North American sales for the Enterprise business unit.

Oswald, who will be based in Richardson, Texas, will be responsible for driving profitable growth for the company by building upon long-term relationships with customers and channel partners in the United States and Canada. She replaces Angela Haneklau, who has chosen to leave CommScope on July 1 after leading the North America Enterprise sales team for more than seven years.

“We thank Angela for her many contributions to CommScope and wish her the best in the future. Meanwhile, Laurie’s outstanding track record of serving customers and her leadership experience make her perfect for this position,” said Peter Karlsson, senior vice president, Global Sales, CommScope. “We look forward to having her build on Angela’s success in developing and growing this vital area of our enterprise market. We believe that Laurie has the experience and drive to succeed in this new role.”

Oswald was promoted from her role as regional vice president of sales for the northern US, based in the Chicago area. She and her family soon will be relocating to the Dallas-Fort Worth area.

Since joining the company in 2003, Oswald served as Chicago territory sales manager, and then moved to the Global Customer Solutions team as global account manager. Oswald was later promoted to global client director responsible for financial institutions based in North America. Prior to joining CommScope, Oswald was a regional sales manager with Rittal Corporation. She has more than 15 years of experience in enterprise and carrier markets.

“With our well-respected brands such as SYSTIMAX® and Uniprise®, CommScope is well-positioned to meet our enterprise customers’ infrastructure needs today and in the future,” Oswald said. “I’m looking forward to leading a great sales and support team, and to expanding my work with top-notch customers throughout the region.”
