Inc., a global leader in infrastructure solutions for communications
networks, is Gold Sponsor and Official Cable Sponsor of Cisco
Live! in London January 30 through February 3.
As Official Cable Sponsor at the event, CommScope is providing its
technology to bring connectivity to the main halls, executive suites and
During Cisco Live!, CommScope will once again demonstrate how its
Intelligent Infrastructure Solution can enhance the energy saving
potential of EnergyWise®, Cisco’s energy management architecture. As the
IT industry strives to reduce its carbon footprint, the integration of
iPatch location information and EnergyWise power management capabilities
can further reduce energy consumption, whilst also improving operational
efficiency and reducing costs.
CommScope will also demonstrate a 100 Gigabit Ethernet (GE) data
transmission over off-the-shelf multi-mode fibre optic cabling.
CommScope first publicly demonstrated this technological advancement
during last year’s event. The demonstration was the first time it was
performed publicly, rather than in a laboratory environment. This data
transmission over InstaPATCH 360 fibre cable assemblies utilizing
LazrSPEED 550 OM4 fibre will once again showcase CommScope’s ability to
provide the necessary solutions needed to push the reach of 100 GE
beyond the limits of the 100 GE standard ratified in 2010 by the IEEE
“CommScope’s industry-leading solution portfolio provides the industry
with the ability to maintain today’s bandwidth demands, as well as
prepare it for the future,” said Jim Curran, director of Northern Europe
Regional Sales, CommScope. “Time and again, CommScope has developed
solutions that not only exceed industry standards, but have been proven
to function in the most stressful environments possible. There is no
better venue to showcase our solutions portfolio than Cisco Live!
because it is the industry’s premier education and training event for
IT, networking and communications professionals.”
Additionally, CommScope will showcase the next generation of
connectivity technology for enterprises at stand G17. CommScope’s stand
will have interactive touch screens showcasing many of the technology,
intelligence and energy conservation and management solutions the
company has to offer the industry.
