Morris to head up SYSTIMAX® Solutions’ Middle East Operations

September 10, 2005 DUBAI, United Arab Emirates

SYSTIMAX Solutions™, the worldwide leader in structured connectivity solutions, today announced the appointment of Dominic Morris as the company’s new Regional Sales Director for the Middle East and North Africa (MENA).

Morris, who replaces former Sales Director, Darren Stratton, will be responsible for SYSTIMAX Solutions’ business operations within the MENA region. Morris will predominantly focus on the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) looking to further strengthen SYSTIMAX Solutions’ market leading position. He will also oversee efforts to increase the company’s market share within the Levant, Jordan and Egypt while evaluating opportunities in emerging markets within the wider Middle East and North Africa.

Commenting on the appointment, Dieter Bodingbauer, Managing Director for SYSTIMAX Solutions, Central & Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa, said, “Dominic is thoroughly familiar with SYSTIMAX Solutions, bringing a deep technical and commercial understanding of our business to his new role. He has had considerable success driving our Saudi-based operations and I expect he will replicate this on a regional level. I have no doubts Dominic’s efforts will further strengthen our position as the structured cabling solution provider of choice within the region.”

Morris brings a wealth of industry and regional experience to his new role, having previously headed up SYSTIMAX Solutions’ business in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for the last two years. He played a central role in transitioning the company’s ownership from Avaya to CommScope within the Kingdom and has been instrumental in the re-development of SYSTIMAX Solutions’ sales channel within Saudi Arabia. Under Morris’ guidance, SYSTIMAX Solutions has maintained its dominant market share within the Kingdom. Prior to joining SYSTIMAX Solutions, Morris had fulfilled roles within other multi-national organizations such as Lucent, Avaya and Compaq.

“Having been involved with the company’s continuing success within the Saudi market, I am well aware of the challenges SYSTIMAX Solutions faces as the industry leader. However, I believe we are uniquely positioned within the Middle East to continue our success. Our regional commitment in terms of resources and people is unmatched, our solutions technically superior and our integration channel first-class. In short, I believe we have a winning formula and look forward to the challenge that comes with being the industry leader that provides the industry’s benchmark,” said Morris.
