SYSTIMAX Solutions(TM), the worldwide leader in structured connectivity
solutions, has provided its enterprise-based SYSTIMAX(R) GigaSPEED(R)
X10D cabling and InstaPATCH(R) Plus Solutions to Interop(R) Las Vegas
2006 to connect the show's InteropNet network. Exhibitors and show
management will use SYSTIMAX Solutions' copper and fiber cabling
infrastructure to run their exhibitions and Internet services -- an
opportunity for SYSTIMAX Solutions to demonstrate the capabilities of
its solutions to enterprise end users.
"We couldn't think of a better way to show the effectiveness of our
enterprise solutions than to actually make them the core of what powers
the largest enterprise IT tradeshow in the United States," said Luc
Adriaenssens, Senior VP R&D and Technology, Enterprise Solutions,
CommScope. "This opportunity allows us to demonstrate the superior
quality of our 10 Gb/s cabling and patching solutions in an extremely
demanding environment while reinforcing the importance of cabling for
future enterprise applications."
The backbone of the Network Operations Center (NOC) for the InteropNet
trade show is connected via the InstaPATCH Plus Solution using SYSTIMAX
Solutions' multimode, laser-optimized multimode and singlemode fiber
solutions - OptiSPEED(R), LazrSPEED(R) and TeraSPEED(TM). Connectivity
from the NOC to the exhibit floor will be provided by the GigaSPEED X10D
InteropNet is a key feature of the Interop events. Each time the trade
show is held, Interop selects industry leaders to apply some of their
"best practices" in designing and operating large networks to
demonstrate "best-of- breed" technology. The selected companies may then
promote the InteropNet as a leading example of how to tackle a
wide-scale deployment of the latest production technologies. This year's
InteropNet will offer 10/100/1000BASE-TX connectivity and high-bandwidth
access to the Internet for exhibitors, conference rooms, meeting rooms
"The InteropNet is a cutting-edge network built in collaboration with
carefully selected vendors who put their products to the test of the
ultimate networking challenge," said Lenny Heymann, Interop General
Manager. "Our exhibitors and attendees depend on this network to connect
them to the Web. Participants such as SYSTIMAX Solutions are valuable
contributors to the innovation and expertise of the InteropNet for the
benefit of our attendees."
"We feel very fortunate to have such high-performance cabling solutions
as part of the InteropNet Network," said Glenn Evans, Interop's Lead
Network Engineer. "The solutions themselves give us great flexibility to
design our network in the most efficient manner and get it running
SYSTIMAX believes its GigaSPEED X10D Solution is the first end-to-end
UTP solution that fully complies with the latest draft IEEE 802.3an task
force guidelines for 10GBASE-T as well as the latest TIA/EIA and ISO/IEC
Category 6A/Class E(A) requirements. It has been specifically engineered
with enhanced cable and connector performance designed to support
emerging 10 Gigabit Ethernet requirements. The GigaSPEED X10D Solution
provides a next generation, total solution that supports both the
bandwidth needs of today's enterprises and the needs of more demanding
applications such as high resolution video, grid computing, data centers
and Storage Area Network/Network Attached Storage (SAN/NAS).
The InstaPATCH Plus System features a high-density, factory-terminated,
factory-tested, modular fiber connectivity solution that allows
installers to connect system components together simply and quickly.
This modular system approach enables 96 fibers to be ready for service
in the time it takes to make a single fiber connection with traditional
systems. The InstaPATCH Plus System is designed to support locations,
such as data centers, that require high-density, rapid deployment and
high performance. The InstaPATCH Plus System incorporates SYSTIMAX
OptiSPEED multimode, LazrSPEED laser-optimized multimode and TeraSPEED
singlemode fiber technologies to support today's most demanding
applications while allowing easy migration to the next generation
SYSTIMAX Solutions will be exhibiting at Interop Las Vegas 2006 at booth
No. 1837 at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center from April 30 to May 5.
