Qwik-LC™ connectors for behind-the-wall (BTW) premises distribution
networks and local area networks (LANs) The Qwik-LC connectors are
“no-epoxy, no-polish” connectors that feature a mechanical crimp, which
makes fiber terminations easier and faster than typical epoxy
The Qwik-LC connectors are for use in central offices, LANs,
Fiber-to-the-Desk (FTTD) and in other applications where quality,
small-size, high-density and low-loss are required. The product offers a
quick and repeatable termination solution for single mode and multimode
fiber on 900µm buffered fiber. The connectors’ performance exceeds the
ANSI/TIA/EIA-568-B standards, and can be used in high data rate systems
such as 1 and 10 Gb/s Ethernet applications. Since epoxy or polishing is
not required, the connectors provide an ideal solution for quick repairs
and terminations in difficult locations.
The Qwik-LC connectors possess the same dimensions and are virtually
indistinguishable from the traditional epoxy and polish connectors once
installed in a system. The product comes packaged in a 25-count
installer pack that is portable and convenient. The product is also
available with a complete tool kit that features a high precision
cleaver, crimp tool and dies, stripper, cleaning solution, wipes and a
scrap fiber container designed for fast setup and tear-down.
SYSTIMAX Solutions also offers the EZ-Connector family (LC, SC and ST0
of anerobic connectors as part of its full lineup of fiber optic
connectors. In addition, one toolkit can be used to terminate all three
connector styles and no Visual Fault Locator (VFL) is required.
