SYSTIMAX® Solutions Opens Executive Briefing Center in Shanghai, China

April 24, 2006 SHANGHAI, China

SYSTIMAX Solutions™, the worldwide leader in structured connectivity solutions, today announced the opening of its China Executive Briefing Center (EBC), its second such facility in the Asia Pacific Region. The facility in Shanghai was officially opened by Mr. Randall Crenshaw, CommScope’s Executive Vice President and General Manager, Enterprise. Dr. Ispran Kandasamy, Vice President and Managing Director of Asia Pacific, SYSTIMAX Solutions and Charles Wong, Managing Director of greater China, SYSTIMAX Solutions, were also present at the opening ceremony.

Located in Shanghai’s Xu Hui District, SYSTIMAX Solutions’ latest EBC will serve as a location for customers, BusinessPartners and media to learn first-hand about the end-to-end connectivity solutions – copper, fiber, patching and wireless offerings – available to support an enterprise organization’s long-term IT infrastructure requirements. It also provides visitors with the opportunity to take a detailed tour of the SYSTIMAX Solutions’ facility and have a first-hand look at the actual processes and production of the company’s cabling solutions.

At the EBC, some of the latest world class technologies and products that visitors can expect to view include the SYSTIMAX GigaSPEED® X10D Solution, the 10G UTP cabling solution representing the latest trends in copper technology; iPatch® System for real time data center infrastructure management; the high density VisiPatch® System and the pre-terminated fiber connectivity solutions of InstaPATCH® Plus and G2 System that were designed for data center connectivity.

Mr. Crenshaw said, “China plays a very key role in our global business strategy. Globally, it is already our second biggest market as well as our fastest-growing market. We strongly believe that China offers us the right opportunity and platform to consolidate our market leadership in the Asia Pacific region.”

According to a recent study by the University of Chicago, China is expected to be the fourth largest economy by 2010. By 2050, it is projected that China will overtake the US as the largest economy in the world. The growth of the Chinese economy is expected to spur greater investments in infrastructure projects, including a greater need for technology-related products such as networking and cabling.

Dr. Kandasamy added, “The opening of the SYSTIMAX Solutions Shanghai EBC is an affirmation of our commitment to build a stronger presence in this market and support the growth of China. In 2005, we strengthened our global reach with the opening of our Suzhou broadband manufacturing plant. Coupled with the opening of our EBC in Shanghai, we are now able to extend our reach and provide even greater value to our customers in China and the Asia Pacific region.”
