Mr. Short has over 29 years of experience in the information technology

services profession. His most recent experience has focused on developing

solutions for clients that involve cabling and connectivity offerings for data

centers and building facilities on a global scale. Mr. Short works with clients,

sales teams, and business partners to create unique cabling solutions for

Facilities Cabling Services and develops enablement assets and tools to meet

customer requirements to achieve global cabling business results. Areas of

focus include Smarter Enterprise Connectivity, Passive Optical LANs, and

Modular Cabling Systems.

Mr. Short has presented Data Center Services and Strategy techniques to

multiple clients and at IBM hosted events. He has extensive experience in

solution development and selling large complex and small services

engagements. These engagements include a 15,000 sqft data center for a

large healthcare provider, a data center consolidation project for a large

financial services company with six data centers, a data center strategy

engagement for a large media client with 21 data centers, an energy efficiency

audit for a large telecommunications company with a 120,000 sqft data center,

and scalable modular data center projects within banking, retail, and

healthcare environments.

Mr. Short’s goal is to create client value and solutions that solve business

problems. He has extensive experience in solution development and selling

large complex projects across multiple sectors and service portfolios.
