COWBOY COOL

The Cowboys Stadium is packed with cool things like the largest TV screen in the world, retractable roofs, and nearly 3,000 IPTVs for fans. Surprisingly, the coolest thing could be its Distributed Antenna System that enables a lot of those cool things work.

“The coolest thing about Cowboys Stadium might be its distributed antenna system.” So writes RCR Wireless Editor Tracy Ford in her just-posted article about the fantastic home of the Dallas Cowboys that opened in 2009.

It’s cool to be considered cooler than some of the really cool things inside that cool stadium, such as the enormous video monitor, the IPTV system and the sheer size of the building. But as the provider of that, ahem, cool DAS and the enterprise networking infrastructure, CommScope has been rightfully proud since the stadium debuted to rave reviews.

Check out Tracy’s overview of the stadium’s DAS, plus her interview with our Matt Melester.
