CommScope, Inc., a global leader in infrastructure solutions for communications networks, will showcase its latest network infrastructure platform—the SYSTIMAX® 360 solution—at the CommScope Technology Forum on November 2 at the Montecasino, Sandton.

The CommScope Technology Forum, with the theme of Connect & Evolve™, offers IT and networking specialists the opportunity to learn about the latest industry trends and hear about new evolutions in the world of network infrastructure technology.

“Technologies in all industries are evolving with LTE and mobile WiMAX in wireless, 10 gigabit per second and intelligent building solutions in enterprise, fiber-to-the-premises in broadband, and Internet Protocol in all of them,” said Ciaran Forde, managing director, CommScope Enterprise Solutions. “Bandwidth demands continue to skyrocket as users access higher bandwidth services and applications. We work with our customers to create the infrastructure that supports their network through every wave of technology. Quite simply, we are in the business of helping the world connect and evolve.”

One focal area to be covered at the event is networking in data centres. CommScope will host a discussion on data centre design and its impact on cabling infrastructure and examine how key technologies such as intelligence, factory terminated solutions and 10 Gbps Ethernet transports are paving the way for designing the cabling solutions of tomorrow’s data centres. “IT managers face tremendous spatial constraints in the data center,” said Forde. “SYSTIMAX 360 incorporates fiber technologies to support today’s most demanding data center and network applications while allowing easy migration to next generation technology. The solution brings higher density without compromising your investment into the future. Now you have the ability to achieve more fiber connections while remaining safeguarded for future network speeds.”

Another key topic for discussion is network intelligence. CommScope is driving enterprise intelligence into the future by giving administrators complete control over the network. The SYSTIMAX iPatch® system enables adjustments to the physical cabling layer infrastructure based on real-time visibility and insight into network connectivity and equipment. “That type of 20/20 vision is critical for network managers to have a birds-eye view of where those connections are and what they’re doing,” said Forde. “IT professionals want to ensure the security of their network, with the ability to quickly eliminate blindspots, immediately detect and locate network breaches and constantly monitor all moves, adds or changes within the network.”

SYSTIMAX 360 will take center stage at the event, but CommScope has added product information and personnel from CommScope’s Andrew Solutions, its market leading brand for the wireless marketplace. CommScope’s extensive portfolio of multi-market connectivity solutions help customers around the world handle the challenges of today’s networking for wired and wireless voice, video and data services. Many of the traditional SYSTIMAX customers will also benefit from hearing about the broader CommScope portfolio. To register for this free event please go to www.commscope.com/events/saforum
