Separately, Multichannel News reported that Windstream has launched an Internet protocol-based pay TV service over fiber in Lincoln, Neb., which is being offered on ARRIS-made whole-home HD-DVRs.
Also, Communications Daily published insight from ARRIS CTO Charles Cheevers on the benefits of the reference design kit (RDK), noting how the technology helps operators push out updates more quickly than before.
