Description

The RD1424-M4 Overview and Implementation instructor-led training course presents the Distributed Access Architecture (DAA) RD4 Series Remote PHY solution. The course covers the benefits of the RD1424-M4, a hardware overview, Remote PHY protocols, RD1424-M4 features and benefits, and a hands-on lab for basic configuration of a Remote PHY system. Commands that are used to update, troubleshoot, and maintain the RD1424-M4 Remote PHY network are also covered and demonstrated. Plus, an optional E6000 CER Hybrid Chassis Mode lesson is available to interested organizations at no additional cost. 

This instructor-led training course is delivered in two, four-hour sessions.

Course Specifics

Prerequisites:  A basic understanding of CATV systems, RF plant fundamentals and data networking.

The student should also have DOCSIS knowledge and prior working experience with the E6000 CER or with the vCCAP Evo. Alternatively, the student may have attended E6D201: E6000 CER Operations instructor-led course with E6D101: E6000 CER Hardware Overview eLearning, or VCCAP201 vCCAP Evo Operations instructor-led course with vCCAP101: vCCAP Evo Overview eLearning, plus have attended a DOCSIS training course (TEC301 and/or TEC302).
