USA Today highlighted findings from ARRIS’s Consumer Entertainment Index showing that more than 69% of binge-watchers in the U.S. do so alone. That is more than the international average of 60% but not as high as Japan, where 80% binge-watch alone.
Rapid TV News reported on a survey by Futuresource Consulting stating that live TV is still the primary viewing choice for almost two-thirds of respondents, but over-the-top (OTT) services are becoming more popular and widely used, fuelled by their wider availability.
According to Digital TV Europe, a recent Nielsen report revealed that 41% of people buy or rent their content both physically and digitally, with just 12% of consumers having entirely digital means for their TV and movie consumption.
