Features and Benefits

The Fibre Management System (FMS) is a mechanical shelf designed for rack mounting and is intended for service provider applications. It supports both fibre splicing and patching functions. The system facilitates the splicing of primary coated fiber's from loose tubes to fibre pigtails using splice trays, which are provided as required. The connectorised end of each pigtail is terminated on a patch panel, with a connection capacity ranging from 24 to 48 ports.

The FMS is a high density, multifunctional unit that is both configurable and upgradeable, enabling efficient fibre management within service provider networks. The design incorporates sufficient space for the storage of excess loose tubes and supports installation in both 19 inch and 21 inch network racks.

The FMS assembly primarily consists of a metal chassis with drawer, splice trays with lids, adapters (SC simplex or LC duplex), a set of compatible pigtails (SC or LC), splice protection sleeves, transport tubes, and a sub kit.
