Being First

CommScope introduces another "first" with the new pre-terminated server cabinet.

Being first has its good and bad points. On the good side, being first sets you apart from your competition and helps you gain not only market share, but mindshare. On the bad side, being first is hard. Plowing new ground is never easy. Answering all of the questions before they are even thought of is difficult. Being first takes a lot of patience and determination. Being first makes you think to the point of making your soul hurt. Being first is exhausting; however being first is the only place to be if you want to change things—if you want to make life better for yourself and those you serve.

CommScope has a long history of being first. We helped to develop the first cable TV infrastructure, the first wireless networks and networked the world’s first data centers in intelligent buildings. This month, we introduced another first—the first pre-terminated server cabinet solution.

It may not sound like a big deal unless you run one of the countless data centers around the world. As part of our new Living Infrastructure initiative, CommScope collaborated with Rittal Corporation, an industry leader in IT enclosure design, to give data center personnel a fully integrated sever cabinet that can be simply “rolled-in” and “plugged-in.” This first helps data center personnel design, deploy and evolve server installations in an instant saving time, labor and installation costs while enabling Day 2 expansion and network evolution.

If you design, build or work in a data center you will want to see this. Your life just got a little better.
