Ian Whiting

Ian Whiting is Senior Vice President and Segment Leader of the Ruckus Networks business at CommScope. In this role, he leads a global team focused on delivering world-class wireless and wired connectivity across complex and varied networking environments for multiple enterprise verticals—including hospitality, education, smart cities, government, large public venues, and service providers. Previously, Mr. Whiting led the same business at ARRIS, prior to its acquisition by CommScope. He joined ARRIS through its acquisition of Ruckus, where he served as Chief Commercial Officer in charge of the global enterprise and service provider sales teams, marketing, and customer service and support. In this role, he led a major expansion of the Ruckus channel sales model to include direct sales with end customers in key industry verticals, as well as with service providers and strategic partners. He also introduced solutions for service providers that enabled them to deliver new managed Wi-Fi services for enterprise customers as well as large-scale public Wi-Fi deployments. Whiting holds a Bachelor’s in French and German from the University of Wales and a Master’s in Business from Cranfield University in the UK.
