Andrew Corporation continues to expand its portfolio of new active products for base station sites and is gaining significant interest and demand from global wireless network operators, complementing its long-standing market leadership in traditional passive wireless products such as cables and antennas.
For example, OneBase(TM) MCPA Cell Extender, introduced in mid-2005, has gained noteworthy acceptance in North America, including significant orders and deployments from multiple major North American operators for the highly-efficient, high power multi-carrier power amplifier (MCPA) configuration.
Following its launch and initial deployments in North America, Andrew will enhance OneBase(R) MCPA Cell Extender with 900MHz and 1800MHz versions for European operators. OneBase MCPA Cell Extender will be displayed at Andrew's exhibit (Hall 1, Stand D08-D09) February 13-16 at 3GSM World Congress in Barcelona, where the company will discuss the development of the enhanced versions with European operators.
OneBase MCPA Cell Extender is used to extend coverage or increase capacity of wireless base stations utilizing a technology agnostic design capable of simultaneously supporting any current wireless standard.
