Andrew Enhances Invex3G Network Testing Tools To Support High-Speed Data

July 19, 2006 WESTCHESTER, Ill.

Andrew Corporation, a global leader in communications products and systems, has introduced enhanced versions of its Invex3G(R) network testing tools that will support new high speed data technologies being deployed by wireless operators.

Invex3G, an industry standard data collection platform used by leading operators and independent testing companies, now supports high-speed downlink packet access (HSDPA), the packet-based data service enhancement of the W-CDMA standard. In addition, Invex3G will begin supporting EV-DO (evolution-data only) Revision A, the data-enhanced version of the CDMA2000 standard, at the end of July. The Invex3G enhancements ensure that the numerous unique performance data associated with HSDPA and EV-DO Rev A are properly captured and analyzed.

"As operators deploy these high-speed data technologies, Andrew is ready to support them with testing systems that help ensure the highest level of network quality and customer satisfaction," said Terry Garner, group president, Network Solutions, Andrew Corporation. "Invex3G has a stellar track record in helping operators identify opportunities to enhance network performance and subscriber satisfaction."

Invex3G enables wireless network operators to view their services from the subscribers' perspective, providing critical quality-of-service measurements including mean opinion scores, data throughput, and call details. Invex3G provides the objective means for network operators to assess and improve service levels and utilization of key resources.

Invex3G supports all major mobile wireless technologies and simultaneously can scan multiple radio frequency carriers for multi-technology testing. Pairing drive test high-speed data-collection hardware with an easy to use, flexible PC graphical user interface and display, Invex3G provides a complete measurement solution for wireless network planning, maintenance, optimization and benchmarking. Invex3G is part of Andrew Network Solutions Group's industry-leading software suite of mobile network design and optimization tools and services.
