Andrew Corporation, a global leader in communications equipment and systems, has expanded its military satellite communications offerings with the introduction of another 2.4 meter transportable antenna to serve the high performance requirements of military and large commercial customers.
Andrew’s new MilSatCom 2.4 Meter Rugged Quick Deploy Transportable Antenna offers superior features—such as light weight; high radio frequency performance; efficient gear driven pedestal mount for high accuracy; and quad-band operation. The new antenna will debut at SatCon 2006 in New York City on November 29-30.

This durable antenna system supports interchangeable feeds which are engineered for simple removal and replacement in hostile or challenging communications environments, such as military situations, disaster relief efforts, and natural resource exploration. Designed to pack in modular transit cases, it is easily transported via military and commercial aircraft. It joins other Andrew MilSatCom offerings, including a 2.4 M vehicle-mounted antenna system introduced in September.
Andrew’s Satellite Communications Group provides a complete line of antennas from 46 centimeters to 11.5 meters for all enterprise, government/military, and consumer satellite communication applications. Andrew-designed and -built products—which cover C, Ku, K, X, and the emerging Ka band—include type approved earth station antenna hubs and gateways for broadband and broadcast, VSAT broadband antennas for consumer and enterprise customers, DBS antennas for home satellite broadcast systems, and complete installation and testing services.
