Andrew Wins New Best Partner, Quality Awards from ZTE

June 24, 2009 BEIJING

Adding to its resume of customer awards for superior quality and service, Andrew Solutions, the CommScope, Inc. division that is a global leader in wireless communication systems and products, has won ZTE Corporation’s “Best Partner” and “Quality Excellency” awards.

Andrew has now won ZTE’s “Best Partner” award for three years in a row and is an inaugural winner at ZTE’s first “Quality Excellency Awards” event, held recently in Shenzhen. Andrew also was one of two awardees asked to make remarks at the inaugural ZTE event.

“ZTE strives to be a global communications leader, providing our customers with excellent quality and customized products and services,” said ZTE’s Fan Qingfeng, executive vice president, Logistics. “It is only through working with a team of good partners such as Andrew and other winners of our Quality Excellency Awards that we can continue to make this happen.”

ZTE is a pioneering telecommunication equipment provider in China as well as in international markets. The company works with hundreds of suppliers to provide state-of-the-art, innovative and robust telecommunication products to the market. ZTE organized its “Quality Excellency Awards” ceremony this year in order to recognize suppliers and partners who have outstanding performance in quality standards.

“ZTE is a great customer for Andrew, in part for supporting our commitment to innovation, superior service and quality,” said Andrew’s Brian Donohue, managing director, China OEM Sales. “We will continue working hand-in-hand with ZTE to make even bigger contributions to the telecommunications industry in China and worldwide.”

Andrew products, particularly antenna and cable equipment, are installed in all ZTE-built CDMA, W-CDMA and CDMA2000 networks. In addition, Andrew is providing advanced products such as TD-SCDMA antennas and power amplifiers to ZTE for numerous projects in China.

Andrew continues to be a leading supplier of RF site solutions for wireless operators and OEMs in China, having long played a significant role in the Chinese market. Recently, the company provided solutions for coverage and capacity projects in the National Center for the Performing Arts, Ministry of Environmental Protection Building, Beijing-to-Tianjin and Shijiazhuang-to-Taiyuan high speed railways, Beijing Subway and Shanghai Metro, among others. Andrew’s history of providing advanced wireless infrastructure solutions in China began in the early 1970s and has led to its establishment of solid, long term cooperative relationships with the major Chinese carriers and OEMs. The company’s local manufacturing and research and development facilities provide extensive in-country capabilities for product design and production, a key factor in development of world-class solutions and on-time deliveries to Chinese customers. Andrew has facilities in Suzhou—which it recently announced expanding—Shanghai, Beijing and Shenzhen.
