Fiegl and Spielberger GmbH, one of the largest electrical and data installation companies in Austria, will deploy CommScope’s SYSTIMAX® imVision® Infrastructure Management solution in its newInnsbruck,Tirol headquarters.
The solution will be deployed by CommScope’s partner, SoLo IT Solutions and Consulting GmbH, in conjunction with N-Tec GmbH.
“We are deploying innovative, future-proof solutions in our new headquarters,” said Wolfgang Leitner, managing director, Fiegl and Spielberger. “That is one of the major reasons we chose to deploy CommScope’s SYSTIMAX imVision solution, with GigaSPEED® X10D for our structured cabling needs. The reason for choosing this solution is simple. We expect exact and continuously updated documentation of the structured cabling deployed in our headquarters, as well as a better way to monitor our network’s security.”
The imVision solution allows IT staff to view real-time, end-to-end circuit information during moves, adds and changes using an unique visual “trace while you patch” feature. Technicians and IT managers at Fiegl and Spielberger’s headquarters will have the ability to improve speed and accuracy of connectivity changes to various end devices such as computers and servers, wireless access points, IP phones, IP cameras, network printers, managed switches and PDUs globally from one location.
“Because deploying an intelligent infrastructure in a network is becoming commonplace, Fiegl and Spielberger understood the importance for its network managers to have fast, easy control over certain aspects of the network including security, process efficiency and energy management,” said Dejan Gogic, manager, Enterprise Business Development, Austria, CommScope. “We are honored that Fiegl and Spielberger will be the first customer inAustria and one of the first inEurope to deploy our imVision solution.”
By combining the software platform and the imVision Controller, the imVision solution provides IT managers with unprecedented control over their infrastructure with state-of-the-art intelligent management of the physical layer using iPatch® intelligent panels.
“This vision into the physical layer enables IT professionals to ensure the security of their network with the ability to quickly eliminate blind spots, immediately detect and locate physical layer breaches and constantly monitor all moves or changes within the network,” added Gogic.
