--Industry Veteran Sees a Future of Strong Growth Opportunities In High-performance Networking in the Region--
July 21, 2010 BANGALORE, India

CommScope Enterprise Solutions, a division of CommScope Inc. (NYSE:CTV), has appointed Natarajan Viswanathan (Natty) as managing director for India and the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) countries. In this role, he will be responsible for driving new business growth for the company by leveraging long term partnerships with customers and channel partners.

Natty brings with him more than 33 years of experience in the industry. His in-depth knowledge of the business and region has helped him forge strong relationships with enterprise customers and solid partnership with channels.

"We are in a period of intense focus on infrastructure for communication networks as exponentially increasing bandwidth demands continue to stress the physical layer,” said Dr. Ispran Kandasamy, vice president of Asia-Pacific Sales, CommScope Enterprise Solutions. “Building sustainable and environmentally acceptable infrastructure for complex facilities such as data centres and intelligent buildings that are effective for the next three to four generations of electronics needs a new value based approach. Natty’s track record spread across the enterprise space speaks volumes of his capability as a leader in front-line sales but also as somebody who understands the importance of having an effective channel model to cater for the needs of the enterprise.”

Prior to joining CommScope, Natty held a number of senior business roles with industry recognised market leaders such as Hitachi Data Systems, Parametric Technologies, Clarity International, Bangalore Labs and Lucent Technologies.

"The 21st century is an intensely competitive e-commerce world where survival comes through innovation across many facets of business processes. India and the other SAARC countries can leapfrog the rest of the world using state of the art data centre technology and proven best practices in infrastructure modernisation,” said Natty. “As a global leader in designing and delivering innovative infrastructure solutions, I firmly believe that CommScope is uniquely positioned to help governments and enterprise customers to meet head-on the competitive challenge of the future. These are truly exciting times for everyone."
