CommScope Enterprise Solutions, a division of CommScope, Inc. (NYSE:CTV), has appointed Olivier Alquier as regional managing director for Southern Europe. Alquier’s new role includes the tasks of developing, guiding and implementing the division’s sales and channel strategies in France, North Africa, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Turkey, Israel, Greece and Cyprus. He will be assisted by the various local teams, covering logistics, technical aspects, business development, marketing and communications.

“Olivier has an in-depth understanding of the company derived from the various roles he has performed over a number of years,” said Anne-Marie Kenneally, vice president of sales, EMEA, CommScope Enterprise Solutions. “He’s developed a global overview of the challenges we face every day and will be extremely instrumental in continuing to make CommScope the preferred network solutions provider of Europe. In addition to Alquier’s appointment, CommScope has expanded the territory covered by Koen Ter Linde, CommScope’s regional managing director for Western Europe. He will now work with Russia, Ukraine, Switzerland, Poland and Austria and will continue to manage Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands.

Alquier was the channel sales director for the EMEA region for two years. During this time, Alquier also held the position of Anixter account manager for the same region. He joined CommScope in 2002 as sales director for France.

Previously, Alquier had more than 10 years experience in sales and marketing positions at HP and other telecom companies. He has an M.S. in electrical engineering (ENSEA France) with extensive studies in telecommunications, and an M.B.A. from the University of San Francisco.
