CommScope Enterprise Solutions Appoints Olivier Alquier to Regional Managing Director for Southern Europe

CommScope Enterprise Solutions, a division of CommScope, Inc. (NYSE:CTV), has appointed Olivier Alquier as regional managing director for Southern Europe. Alquier’s new role includes the tasks of developing, guiding and implementing the division’s sales and channel strategies in France, North Africa, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Turkey, Israel, Greece and Cyprus. He will be assisted by the various local teams, covering logistics, technical aspects, business development, marketing and communications.

His appointment complements CommScope’s continuing efforts to serve customers as the European leader in high-performance network infrastructure solutions.”

In addition to Alquier’s appointment, CommScope has expanded the territory covered by Koen Ter Linde, CommScope’s regional managing director for Western Europe. He will now work with Russia, Ukraine, Switzerland, Poland and Austria and will continue to manage Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands.

Alquier was the channel sales director for the EMEA region for two years. He was largely responsible for the creation and successful implementation of the new BusinessPartner program for the entire CommScope Solutions/SYSTIMAX distribution network for the EMEA region. During this time, Alquier also held the position of Anixter account manager for the same region. He joined CommScope in 2002 as sales director for France.

Previously, Alquier had more than 10 years experience in sales and marketing positions at HP and other telecom companies. He has an M.S. in electrical engineering (ENSEA France) with extensive studies in telecommunications, and an M.B.A. from the University of San Francisco.
