CommScope Sees Success at Industry’s First Interoperability Plugfest for Higher Speed Ethernet

Interoperability tests determine SYSTIMAX LazrSPEED 550 and LazrSPEED 300 fiber optic cabling infrastructure exceed industry standards for 40, 100 Gb/s performance

CommScope, Inc. recently participated in a first-of-its-kind industry “Plugfest” event organized by the Higher Speed Ethernet (HSE) subcommittee of the Ethernet Alliance to evaluate the readiness of HSE infrastructure components and answer demands for 40 and 100 Gb/s applications in data center environments. As one of 16 vendors that contributed equipment to be tested at Ixia’s iSimCity in Santa Clara, Calif., CommScope’s SYSTIMAX® LazrSPEED® 550 and LazrSPEED 300 fiber optic cabling infrastructure exceeded IEEE 802.3ba specifications for high-speed performance and effectively demonstrated interoperability with all other vendor components tested.
