CommScope’s Experts Will Present During Next Week’s OFC/NFOEC Technical Conference in California

March 3, 2011 RICHARDSON, Texas

CommScope, Inc., a global leader in infrastructure solutions for communications networks, will have two of its experts speak during next week’s OFC/NFOEC Technical Conference in Los Angeles, CA.

Yinglin (Frank) Yang and Joe Livingston will be on hand to speak about high-speed Ethernet and the next generation of fiber networks in the data center. Both work for CommScope’s Enterprise Data Center business unit in Richardson, Texas. Yang is a technical marketing manager and Livingston is a senior manager in Fiber Optic Apparatus Research and Development.

Yang will be one of five panelists discussing The Future of Higher-Speed Ethernet. Network traffic demands are driven by a number of popular applications such as Internet Protocol Television (IPTV), video-on-demand services, remote storage, IP data transit, mobile broadband services, virtual private network (VPN) services and peer-to-peer streaming. The participants will discuss the capacity strain felt in core networking and data centers and how higher-speed Ethernet technologies are meeting the need. The discussion will take place on Wednesday, March 9 at 1 p.m. PST.

Livingston will represent CommScope in the Ethernet Alliance booth (No. 1253) and at its “Ask the Expert” booth (No. 2108). Livingston will speak about the migration path to next generation fiber networks in the data center. He will be available to provide consultation both Tuesday, March 8 and Wednesday, March 9 at 2 p.m. PST.
