Inc., a global leader in infrastructure solutions for communications
networks, will be showcasing its complete solutions offering—plus its
new brand identity—for the first time to the U.S. cable television
industry during The
Cable Show next week.
CommScope will feature the company’s new logo and colors in a
modernistic exhibition stand that uses interactive touchscreens to
showcase all the company has to offer in broadband, wireless and
enterprise solutions that cater to the cable television industry.
“The legacy of CommScope began in the cable television industry more
than 40 years ago. Since that time, our customers have evolved and so
has the company,” said Ric Johnsen, senior vice president, Broadband,
CommScope. “CommScope now provides a complete solutions portfolio that
allows cable operators to provide today’s advanced services and
technology their customers expect and demand—from residential and
commercial offerings to cellular backhaul and high-speed data services.
“We will be showcasing our full suite of enterprise and wireless
solutions as well. We can assist any customer with the right solution,
whether it is at home, at work or on the go.”
With the recent acquisition of LiquidxStream Systems Inc., a leader in
dense universal edge QAM (quadrature amplitude modulation) systems,
CommScope is continuing its efforts to expand its broadband product
offerings to multi-system operators (MSO).
“CommScope’s new QAM offering is critical to supporting more of the
advanced and next-generation services over HFC networks,” Johnsen added.
“This technology enhances our drive to provide a complete solutions
offering—starting at the head-end and finishing at the home.”
During the Cable Show, CommScope also will highlight its innovative BrightPath®
Optical Solutions (BOS™), a complete, scalable end-to-end FTTx
solution for the broadband industry. BOS is set across multiple fiber
architectures for a revolutionary approach that works for customers’
unique needs. Comprising a full suite of head-end, outside plant and
end-user solutions, BOS enables a multi-system operator to choose a
product that meets the needs of today while providing a migration path
to the technology of tomorrow.
“Our BOS customers can cost effectively continue to deliver competitive
high bandwidth services and fully leverage all of their existing
infrastructures,” Johnsen added.
The Cable Show, hosted by the National Cable and Telecommunications
Association (NCTA), will take place June 14-16, 2011 in Chicago at
McCormick Place. CommScope will exhibit at Booth 131.
