Comsearch Named Official Spectrum Manager For WiMAX World USA 2006

October 9, 2006 WESTCHESTER, Ill.

The market-leading radio spectrum management capabilities of Comsearch, an Andrew Corporation company, will be utilized October 10-12 in Boston as it serves as official spectrum manager for the WiMAX World USA 2006 Conference and Expo.

Building upon its long history as spectrum manager of major industry events, Comsearch will ensure that the radio frequencies used in demonstrations by exhibitors do not interfere with each other and other licensed wireless operations in the area. This year’s show presents many challenges with WiMAX demonstrations using a variety of different frequency bands and channel bandwidths. Comsearch’s spectrum management process will efficiently and successfully address the often complex interference and frequency coordination issues for WiMAX World’s many temporary wireless demonstrations. Comsearch will coordinate with area licensees and federal government agencies, perform interference analysis and frequency coordination with microwave incumbents, coordinate frequency use between exhibitors, and monitor on-site interference.

“We are pleased to be working with Comsearch to support our spectrum management needs for WiMAX World 2006,” said Eliot Weinman, president, Trendsmedia, and conference chair, WiMAX World Conference & Expo (www.wimaxworld.com). “With over 140 exhibitors, we needed a veteran team to help support our exhibitors’ varied needs, and Comsearch came highly recommended. We look forward to a successful relationship with them in the coming years.”

“We look forward to supporting WiMAX World 2006 and its many attendees and exhibitors,” said Chris Hardy, vice president and general manager, Comsearch. “Comsearch is the wireless industry’s preferred vendor for frequency coordination and interference mitigation. Our expertise and many years of experience in supporting challenging radio spectrum environments has become highly recognized and regarded throughout the wireless industry, including new and emerging wireless markets such as WiMAX. As the industry-leading spectrum management firm, Comsearch lives up to this reputation and will apply its expertise to ensure a quality show experience for everyone.”
