March 14, 2007 WESTCHESTER, Ill.

The market-leading radio spectrum management capabilities of Comsearch, an Andrew Corporation company, will be on full display March 27-29 in Orlando as it again serves as official spectrum manager for the CTIA WIRELESS 2007 trade show and systems integrator for the shows Wireless Building showcase.

In its tenth consecutive year as official spectrum manager at CTIA WIRELESS, Comsearch will ensure that the radio frequencies used in demonstrations by exhibitors do not interfere with each other and other licensed wireless operations in the area. This year's show presents challenges with demonstrations using UMTS, WiMAX, and DVB-H (Digital Video Broadcasting-Handhelds) technologies, in addition to the GSM and CDMA technologies common to the show.

Comsearchs spectrum management process efficiently and successfully addresses the often complex interference and frequency coordination issues for CTIAs many temporary wireless demonstrations. Comsearch will coordinate with area licensees and federal government agencies, perform interference analysis and frequency coordination with microwave incumbents, coordinate frequency use between exhibitors, and monitor on-site interference.

Comsearch has been an important long-time supporter of ours, and their proficiency in providing comprehensive spectrum management and integration services has contributed to our shows success, said Robert Mesirow, vice president and show director for CTIA. We are committed to providing exhibitors and attendees of CTIA WIRELESS 2007 a first-rate experience at one of the largest and most highly attended wireless shows in the industry. Comsearchs expanded procedures for tracking, registering, and monitoring all wireless demonstrations is critical to preventing unnecessary radio frequency interference between exhibitors or to operators in the Orlando market.

Also at CTIA WIRELESS 2007, Andrew will showcase its ConnectOptimizeGrow solutions that help wireless operators connect users at the lowest capital expense, optimize efficiency and increase control of their networks, and grow usage and value.

Andrew will show how wireless operators can address some of their most critical business issues, such as:

  • ConnectHow do you build a network with unmatched CapEx efficiency and maximum connectivity?
  • OptimizeHow can you monitor, test, and control your network with minimal sites, maximum coverage, and optimal OpEx efficiency?
  • GrowHow can you grow your business by providing customers the most innovative and reliable services, and accelerating revenue to feed expansion?

In addition, for the third consecutive year, Comsearch will integrate and manage the wireless device demonstrations within the CTIAs demonstration showcase, this year being the CTIA Wireless Building, a unique 8,000 square foot exhibit of wireless enterprise solutions, next generation products, and technology that is revolutionizing business. The Wireless Building will feature a retail sales floor, executive offices, stockroom and loading dock area, and an apartment next door. Comsearch will extend its spectrum management experience and expertise into the wireless building project to thoroughly evaluate displayed wireless devices and their frequency requirements, analyze interoperability, coordinate frequencies and device placements within the building, and perform pre-show testing and additional interference monitoring.

Comsearch is pleased to extend its ongoing support to CTIAs annual show as the official spectrum manager and Wireless Building integrator, said Chris Hardy, vice president and general manager, Comsearch. Comsearch looks forward to managing this challenging environment of multiple technologies and radio spectrum bands to ensure a quality show experience for everyone.
